NEW YORK – The conference office announced preseason baseball awards today with two Bulldogs making the All-BIG EAST Team. Pitcher Jeff Schank and outfielder Tyler Houston each earned the honor while the Bulldogs as a team finished in a three-way tie for fifth place in the 2016 Coaches' Poll.
"It's nice to see Tyler and Jeff recognized by the BIG EAST coaches as players to watch in 2016," Butler Head Coach Steve Farley stated. "Our coaching staff doesn't put much stock in pre-season rankings. Our goal as a team is to compete for a conference championship and we look forward to getting back into workouts when classes start back up on January 11.
