INDIANAPOLIS – Butler’s Bulldogs took an early peek into their Christmas stockings and found them stuffed with 3-pointers.
The Bulldogs, who had been among the nation’s worst in 3-point percentage, sank 18-of-31 for 58 percent and crushed Western Illinois 107-46 Thursday night.
Kelan Martin had 20 points and a career-high seven assists. Henry Baddley came off the bench for a career-high 20, featuring 4-of-4 on 3s in the closing 5 ½ minutes.
Paul Jorgensen scored 18 points, and Nate Fowler had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Jalen Morgan, a Pike High School graduate, came off the bench to lead Western Illinois (7-4) with 11 points.
