Thad Matta is back at Butler University.
The former Ohio State, Xavier and Butler coach was re-introduced as the Bulldogs' head coach Wednesday at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Matta's hiring was announced by the school Sunday, two days after firing LaVall Jordan.
"It's good to be home. It's a little bit bittersweet to be here," Matta said at Wednesday's public unveiling. "LaVall Jordan played for me. What most people don't understand is coaches are people. They have families, they have assistant coaches who have families... They are human beings."
