ESPN to air documentary on Project 44 and Butler's Andrew Smith

INDIANAPOLIS – ESPN will air a documentary on Project 44, the legacy of the late Andrew Smith, during SportsCenter at 8 a.m. Sunday. It will re-air in other editions of the program throughout the day.

Project 44 is a partnership between Butler University and Be The Match, the nation’s bone marrow registry. It was created in honor of Smith, who played for the Bulldogs’ NCAA runner-up teams in 2010 and 2011.

The documentary, written and narrated by Tom Rinaldi, coincides with the launch of Project 44 as a nonprofit corporation. The website is Project44.org and has social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
