Maurice Watson Jr. had 21 points and seven assists, and No. 8 Creighton built a 25-point lead before beating No. 13 Butler 75-64 Wednesday night before a crowd of 18,032 at the CenturyLink Center.
Creighton (16-1) moved into first place in the Big East at 4-1. Butler (14-3, 3-2) returns to Hinkle Fieldhouse to play No. 14 Xavier on Saturday.
The Bluejays shot 55 percent and were never threatened after the opening moments.
