INDIANAPOLIS — If the best things in life are free, the Butler Bulldogs are not living their best life.
They don’t get anything free. Not free throws anyway.
Out of 351 NCAA Division I basketball teams, they are 315th in free throw attempts — 291 total, or about 15 a game. Among teams in seven major conferences, only four have shot fewer — Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Wisconsin.
