ST. LOUIS – Butler closed the Bahamas playing stout defense. That was nothing compared to the defensive clinic conducted by Saint Louis on Saturday.
The Billikens held Butler’s top two scorers to 5-of-30 shooting — 17 percent — and pulled away for a 64-52 victory in a college basketball game between former Atlantic 10 rivals.
Butler shot 28 percent (18-of-64) and was 10-of-25 (40 percent) on layups.
