INDIANAPOLIS – Victory does not come easily for the Butler Bulldogs these days. But on Saturday, it finally came.
Seniors Paul Jorgensen and Nate Fowler came off the bench to score 18 and 15 points, respectively, and Butler ended a three-game losing streak by holding off Seton Hall 70-68 before a sellout of 9,102 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Butler led by 17 points with less than six minutes left, but a 20-3 run pulled Seton Hall even at 68 on Myles Powell’s 3-pointer with 41 seconds left. Jorgensen restored the lead to Butler, 70-68, when he was credited with a basket on a goaltending call with 16 seconds left.
