INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs recorded their first BIG EAST win of the season with an 82-76 victory against the visiting Georgetown Hoyas. Butler scored 45 points in the first half Thursday night, matching their final score from Tuesday's contest. With the win, BU moves to 6-7 on the year.
The turning point in the game came during the final minute of the opening quarter. The 'Dawgs trailed by three with 1:17 to play, but a late surge gave them a two point cushion after the first 10 minutes. That BU scoring run would grow to 11-2 in the opening minutes of the second quarter which in turn gave the home team a six point lead.
