Butler traveled to New York and split a pair of games with host St. John's over the weekend. In a suspended game from Saturday, the Red Storm won, 6-4, in the opener before the Bulldogs rebounded to pull out a 3-2 win in the seventh inning of game two. After the decisions, Butler is 22-15 on the season and 5-3 in BIG EAST play. St. John's is 19-17 (3-5).
The opener was actually continued from Saturday when rain suspended play for the day in the top of the fourth. At that point, the game was tied at two.
