For Butler women’s basketball, this loss was more than an ending. Whitney Jennings’ hope is that it was a beginning.
“I told the girls in the locker room, as seniors, we really laid the foundation for this program,” she said. “It’s been exciting for people to come watch our games. To watch us, write about us, talk about us. It’s not something that’s happened in years past.
“I told them I want them to be even better next year and keep making this program the best it can be.”
