The Butler University women’s basketball team snapped a six-game skid with a 69-48 road win over Providence College on Feb. 16. The Bulldogs improved to 14-14 on the season and 6-10 in Big East play with the victory.
The two teams went back and forth in the first quarter, with Providence holding on to a two-point lead heading into the second frame following four lead changes. Butler got things going in the second quarter, outscoring Providence 22-8 behind 10 points from junior center Tori Schickel and seven from junior guard Michelle Weaver to take a 35-23 lead into halftime.
