INDIANAPOLIS — Butler will meet Texas in a quarterfinal of PK80, a two-bracket college basketball tournament at Portland, Ore., that celebrates the 80th birthday of Nike founder Phil Knight.
Pairings were announced Wednesday.
The winner from Butler/Texas, set for Nov. 23, will meet Duke or Portland State in a Nov. 24 semifinal of the Motion Bracket. Other first-round pairings are Florida vs. Stanford and Gonzaga vs. Ohio State.
The other bracket is named Victory. Winners of the two tournaments do not play each other. All games will be televised on one of the ESPN networks.
