INDIANAPOLIS – Butler will face Dayton, a former Atlantic 10 basketball rival, in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament Nov. 21 in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m. on ESPNews or ESPN3.
Pairings were announced Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face Virginia or Middle Tennessee State on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22. Championship game is Nov. 23.
On the other side of the bracket, pairings are Florida vs. Oklahoma and Wisconsin vs. Stanford.
Coincidentally, Butler has played five teams in the field — Virginia, Middle Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Wisconsin — in NCAA tournament games since 2003.
