Butler has made a scholarship offer to Ohio wing Andre Wesson, who visited the Indianapolis campus Monday.
Wesson, 6-6 and 190 pounds, is a senior at Westerville South High School and older brother of Kaleb Wesson, who has made an oral commitment to Ohio State. Andre Wesson has also been offered a scholarship by Ohio State’s Thad Matta, the former Butler coach.
The brothers’ father, Keith, played for the Buckeyes in the mid-1980s. So the Bulldogs would have to overcome family ties to lure Andre Wesson.
Wesson helped his school win its first Ohio Division I state championship, averaging 16 points, 7.
