February has evolved into a Sisyphean struggle for the Butler Bulldogs. As in Greek mythology, they repeatedly roll a rock up a steep hill, only to watch roll it back down.
It must be so for Bo Hodges, who did not come to Butler for this. Butler is 2-6 in February, or more losses in one month than he had in his last season at East Tennessee State (30-4).
Somehow, the Bulldogs keep pushing that rock.
After a 34-point blowout at St. John’s, they responded by building a 19-point lead against almost-Big-East-champion Providence.
