Butler could use an experienced point guard for the 2017-18 season. A player who qualifies as that is on campus this week.
Paul Jorgensen, a 6-2 transfer from George Washington, arrived in Indianapolis Sunday night and is visiting Butler through Tuesday. He previously visited Hofstra and Northeastern. He would have to sit out next season and would then have two years of eligibility.
Jorgensen averaged 4.9 points and 2.1 assists for a 28-10 Colonials team that won the National Invitation Tournament, beating Valparaiso in the championship game. He had an 81-to-43 assist-to-turnover ratio and was third on the team in assists.
