INDIANAPOLIS -- Blake Beemer, who has been an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Ball State, was chosen head baseball coach at Butler.
Beemer, a 31-year-old native of Dayton, Ohio, was previously an assistant at Eastern Illinois and Penn State.
“For the last four years, he served as my right-hand man, recruiting coordinator, outfield coach, and catcher coach, assisting me with our hitters, defensive positioning, etc.,” Ball State coach Rich Maloney said. “No task was too small or too large for him to handle.
