Butler gets help from unexpected places in overtime win

WASHINGTON – Freshman guard Kamar Baldwin scored a career-high 16 points, and No. 18 Butler shot 25-of-29 on free throws to pull away from Georgetown in overtime 85-76 Saturday at the Verizon Center.

Kethan Savage, returning to his native D.C. area, was 6-of-6 on free throws in the OT. The Bulldogs outscored Georgetown 17-8 in overtime.

Kelan Martin added 12 points, and Andrew Chrabascz, Savage and Nate Fowler each had 11.

The Bulldogs, coming off a 66-58 upset of No. 1 Villanova, climbed to 3-1 for their best start in four Big East seasons.
