INDIANAPOLIS – What could potatoes possibly have to do with college basketball players?
Just because you don’t see them doesn’t mean they’re not growing.
So it has been for three Butler freshmen: Joey Brunk, Christian David and Jerald Gillens-Butler. They are logging few minutes – a collective 22 in six Big East games – and are essentially out of sight.
Encouragement comes from teammates such as Sean McDermott and Henry Baddley, sophomores who are in key roles after playing infrequently as freshmen.
