Butler eases past Youngstown State in another Bulldogs' runaway

INDIANAPOLIS – For the second Saturday in a row, Butler basketball was more exhibition than competition.

The Bulldogs built a 25-point halftime lead, shot 58.5 percent and crushed Youngstown State 95-67 before a Hinkle Fieldhouse crowd of 8,022.

Kamar Baldwin scored an efficient (and season-high) 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting with four assists. Kelan Martin and Paul Jorgensen added 15 points each. Nate Fowler and freshman Christian David scored 12 and 10, respectively, both off the bench.

David, who had previously scored three points all season, shot 5-of-5. Another freshman, Aaron Thompson, equaled his career high of six assists.
