INDIANAPOLIS – Butler’s final two victories of the college basketball season, over DePaul and Xavier, were fueled by Simas Lukosius. Now the Bulldogs might lose him to another school.
In the aftermath of coach LaVall Jordan’s firing, the Lithuanian freshman entered the transfer portal Friday, according to multiple reports. Lukosius’ possible exit follows that of another Butler player, Bryce Golden, who also has 2022-23 eligibility.
If both leave, Butler would have eight scholarship players next season out of a maximum 13. Butler's coaching staff planned along to bring in some transfers.
Butler (14-19) was 6-1 in games in which Lukosius scored 10 or more points.
