INDIANAPOLIS – Connor Turnbull, a 6-10 center from greater St. Louis, has committed to Butler for college basketball.
He made the announcement Thursday on Twitter. He is the Bulldogs’ first commitment in the 2022 recruiting class.
Turnbull, who played junior varsity as a sophomore, also plays volleyball for Fort Zumwalt North of O’Fallon, Mo. He lacks a player ranking from 247Sports or Rivals but had offers from four other programs: Missouri, Kansas State, Saint Louis and Indiana State.
The Bulldogs need size to compete in the Big East, and Turnbull fits that requisite. He made an unofficial visit to Butler on June 14 and received an offer that day.
