Butler basketball shakes off slow start to beat Presbyterian

INDIANAPOLIS – Do not get into a shooting contest with the Butler Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The Bulldogs, after falling behind by 14 points, used 54.5 percent shooting shooting and Aaron Thompson’s career-high 18 points to beat Presbyterian 76-67 Tuesday night in college basketball.

Thompson was 8-of-10 from the field, including his fifth 3-pointer of the season (he was 2-of-15 all of last season). He added seven assists and three steals.

Kamar Baldwin scored 15 points, and sophomore center Joey Brunk added 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Butler (8-3) was a 21-point favorite.
