INDIANAPOLIS – In a surprise development in college basketball, Butler has landed a 6-6 Lithuanian prospect, Simas Lukosius.
Lukosius recently turned 19. He has signed a financial aid agreement, enrolled in classes and will be eligible to play for the Bulldogs in the upcoming season.
Lukosius has said he tries to model his game after the Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic, a Slovenian who became the NBA's 2019 Rookie of the Year and an All-Star. In a six-minute highlight tape, Lukosius’ dribbling, passing and 3-point shooting are featured.
