NEWARK, N.J. – Seton Hall remains on top of the Big East basketball standings -- by the narrowest of margins.
The No. 16 Pirates turned back a comeback by No. 23 Butler, winning 74-72 on Sandro Mamukelashvili’s tap off an inbounds pass Wednesday night at the Prudential Center.
Seton Hall had the ball out of bounds with six-tenths of a second left. Quincy McKnight lofted the ball to Mamukelashvili, who pushed the ball through the net as the buzzer sounded.
