INDIANAPOLIS – Butler needed a late 9-0 run to pull away from Saginaw Valley State 68-57 Tuesday night in college basketball at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Saginaw Valley (4-3) was the second consecutive NCAA Division II opponent for the Bulldogs, who beat Chaminade 84-51 last week at the Maui Invitational. Saginaw Valley, a 24.5-point underdog, was within five points under the four-minute mark.
