INDIANAPOLIS – The Broncos were forced off the diamond with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning in game two of Sunday's doubleheader due to a 30-minute lightning delay, but the two clubs would come back onto the field to finish all nine innings. In the end, Butler walked away with a 7-3 win to improve their overall record to 8-15.
Butler posted seven runs by scoring two in the first, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth. A costly error by Western Michigan allowed the Bulldogs to break the scoreless tie.
