INDIANAPOLIS – Butler basketball coaches know how quickly it can all end.
They were courtside March 12, scouting Creighton against St. John’s in a Big East tournament quarterfinal. The Bulldogs were up next against Providence.
Instead, the tournament was called off at halftime. Creighton and St. John’s players never left the locker room. Butler players never left the hotel. Soon thereafter, the NCAA tournament was canceled.
That was the start of the pandemic for college sports, and there is no finish in sight. That’s why coach LaVall Jordan is preaching discipline to the Bulldogs as never before:
Wear masks.
