COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland exposed so many Butler shortcomings, where do we begin?

With Butler, everything usually starts with defense. Let’s start with offense.

The Bulldogs will not thrive in the Big East if offense devolves into contested jump shots and isolation plays, as happened too often in Wednesday night’s 79-65 loss in the Gavitt Games.

Kelan Martin and Kamar Baldwin are skilled scorers. They are not LeBron James or Russell Westbrook.

It is a matter of “trusting one another out there on the court,” according to Baldwin.
