INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis connection kept Morehead State close for one half, but Butler shot 54% in the second half to pull away to a 68-50 victory in college basketball Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Kamar Baldwin led Butler with 17 points and eight rebounds, and Bryce Nze added 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Sean McDermott scored 10.
The Bulldogs moved to 5-0 ahead of a Monday game against Missouri (4-1) in the Hall of Fame Classic at Kansas City, Mo. The other semifinal pits Oklahoma against Stanford. The championship game is Tuesday night.
