INDIANAPOLIS – Butler’s Bulldogs ended January with their most lopsided home defeat in more than 26 years. They are one possession from being 4-0 in February.

Whether they can play basketball well enough to reach a fifth successive NCAA tournament is an open question. But the Bulldogs stayed relevant – as evidenced by a 91-78 victory over DePaul on Saturday night -- by first questioning themselves.

Those in Hinkle Fieldhouse are not supposed to witness losses like the 76-58 beatdown put on the Bulldogs by No. 10 Marquette.
