LAS VEGAS – Texas A&M exploited Butler’s persistent problems with turnovers, going on a late first-half spurt and then holding onto a 57-50 victory Tuesday in college basketball’s Maui Invitational at Michelob Ultra Arena.
It was the third straight defeat for the Bulldogs (3-3) and dumped them into the seventh-place game at 9 p.m. Wednesday against Notre Dame or Chaminade.
Quenton Jackson scored 15 points for A&M (5-1). Jair Bolden scored 10 and Jayden Taylor nine for Butler.
