INDIANAPOLIS – Butler kept bombing and stopped the bleeding.
Kelan Martin scored 20 of his career-high 37 points in the closing 10 minutes, and the Bulldogs ended a three-game losing streak by coming from behind to beat Marquette 94-83 Friday night in Big East basketball before 8,911 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The Bulldogs (3-3, 13-6) shot 59 percent and withstood a withering 3-point attack by Marquette (3-3, 12-6).
Butler led by as many as 14 point in the first half but fell behind 67-60 after the Golden Eagles sank three 3s in less than a minute. The Bulldogs responded with a 13-0 run of their own, with seven points by Martin.
