Butler University is in talks to tap LaVall Jordan as the next head coach of the Butler men’s basketball team. Jordan, currently the head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, would replace the freshly departed Chris Holtmann.
Here are 10 things you should know about Butler’s new men’s basketball coach:
- Is the first African-American head coach in Butler men’s basketball history
- Most recently led the Division I Milwaukee Panthers to a 11-24 record in his first season as a head coach
- Previously spent six seasons as an assistant coach under John Beilein at the University of Michigan, including an NCAA national title run in 2013.
