West Ham fans plan new anti-board protest ahead of Burnley clash... and organisers hope for record attendance

West Ham fans will stage their third anti-board protest before Burnley’s visit to the London Stadium on April 18.

Supporters are hoping to force owners David Sullivan and David Gold plus vice-chairman Karren Brady out of the club.

Around 2,000 attended the first protest before the Hammers’ 1-1 draw against Everton on January 18, with 8,500 involved in the second before the 3-1 win over Southampton on February 29. Hammers United, the group behind the protests, are determined to top that figure next month.

West Ham fans have shown their displeasure on the road by releasing black balloons before kick-off on their trips to Liverpool and Arsenal, as a way of symbolising the lack of communication between fans and the West Ham hierarchy.
