West Brom put in their best performance of the season on Monday night, routing Burnley 4-0 at the Hawthorns.
A stunning first-half performance saw the hosts head into the break three goals to the good – Matt Phillips, James Morrison and Darren Fletcher all scoring – with Salomon Rondon adding a well-deserved fourth in the second period.
The scoring was opened moments after kick-off, Phillips claiming possession yards away from goal before turning his defender and firing past Heaton to put the Baggies in front.
The keeper had to make a solid save from Brunt’s long-range strike seconds later to prevent Burnley falling two goals behind on the five minute mark.
