Vincent Kompany agrees to become Bayern Munich and commits to a three-year deal with the German giants just two weeks after Burnley were relegated from the Premier League

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has agreed a three-year deal to become the next manager of Bayern Munich, just two weeks after getting relegated from the Premier League.

It is believed Kompany, a German speaker, will sign a deal until 2027, with the Clarets getting £10million in compensation.

The former Manchester City and Belgium captain was way down the wanted list as Bayern looked for a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.

The German giants had tried to lure Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, Germany’s Julian Nagelsmann and Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick.
