After a decent first half when Burnley matched Leicester City and fell behind to an injury-time sucker punch from Islam Slimani, the Clarets' second-half performance was an abomination and the full-time scoreline of 3-0 flattered the visitors. Very little attacking threat coupled with ropey defending at the back meant it was a second successive battering on the road for Sean Dyche's men.
Positives
The scoreline could and perhaps should have been more humiliating, although it has to be noted this was the champions who were cutting Burnley open at will. Jeff Hendrick played reasonably well on his full debut, but it is clutching at straws to look for positives in such a dire display.
