The U23s have been handed a home tie against league rivals Leeds United in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup.
Burnley booked their place in the last eight by beating Leicester City 1-0 following their progress through the group stage.
And their reward is another home draw against a Leeds team which is currently top of the Professional Development League’s northern group.
The Yorkshiremen are currently eight points ahead of the Clarets, who sit second in the table.
The sides drew 2-2 at Elland Road in October before Leeds, who have often used a number of first-team players in their fixtures, won the return league meeting 6-3 in December.
