A trio of Burnley players have been drafted into the Republic of Ireland squad for a training camp ahead of their upcoming UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers.
Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick and Kevin Long will all link up with Mick McCathy’s squad in Portugal from May 21, before moving base to the FAI National Training Centre ahead of the trip to Denmark and the home game with Gibraltar at the start of June.
Stephen Ward is omitted after recently announcing his retirement from international football, while Jonathan Walters has also confirmed he will retire at the end of the current Premier League season.
