Scott Cunliffe’s fundraising total for his RunAway Challenge has now surpassed the original target of £10,000 five times over.
Boosted by the hundreds of donations he received on arrival at Goodison Park for his final run of the season - as well as a donation of £10,240 from Burnley manager Sean Dyche and the players - the total has now topped the £50k mark.
The RunAway Challenge saw Scott run to every one of Burnley's away games during the 2018/19 season, culminating with the finale when the Clarets played at Everton earlier this month.
Warmly received by the Toffees, Scott - who had upgraded his original fund-raising target to £38,000 to reflect the average Premier League attendance - said of the final weekend of the challenge: “It was probably the best weekend of my life.
