James Tarkowski’s England debut against Italy has seen Championship club Brentford bank £500,000.
The Burnley defender started in the back-three as the Three Lions drew 1-1 with the Azzurri at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday.
And, according to Sky Sports News, his first England appearance will see the Clarets pay a fee to his former club Brentford, due to a clause inserted into the deal when he moved to Turf Moor in 2016.
Brentford are reportedly due £1million from Burnley per start and £500,000 per substitute appearance in competitive games.
