Tony Philliskirk's side extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 4-2 win over Crewe Alexandra.
A brace each from Dylan Moonan and Chris Conn-Clarke, gave the Clarets their fifth win in their last seven matches.
Burnley started bright and the presence down the right, of Kane Patterson and Rhys Fenlon was proving to be a nuisance for the Alex defence.
And the Clarets were awared a corner after numerous attacks, before opening the scoring through midfielder Moonan.
The former-Wigan man curled the ball home direct from the corner, to give Philliskirk's side the lead.
