Steve Stone was happy with the quality and the quantity as the Under-23s signed off from Poland by winning their opening game of pre-season.
The Clarets beat the second string of local top-flight side Pogon Szczecin 2-1 on the final day of their stay in Poland.
Rounding off a hard week’s work with some more running was the number-one aim, but a classy finish from striker Rob Harker provided another plus point as the Clarets overcame testing opposition with a late winner from one of their trialists.
“It was really competitive. They passed it and moved it well and had some really good play,” said Stone.
