Sean Dyche will make changes for the Clarets’ Carabao Cup opener against Sunderland on Wednesday night.
New loan signing Danny Drinkwater is among those set for a taste of the action in the second-round tie at Turf Moor.
And Dyche believes he is able to send out a “quality line-up” from arguably the strongest squad he has assembled as Burnley boss in a bid to keep the Clarets’ momentum going and avoid a repeat of last season’s upset against Burton Albion.
“It’s not just a chance (to play). I’ve said I think it’s the most balanced and competitive group I’ve had here,” said Dyche, whose side has taken four points from their opening three Premier League games.
