It all starts again on Saturday as the Clarets kick off a fourth successive top-flight campaign for the first time since the early 1970s.
And it’s almost history repeating itself with the same opposition as the opening day of last season.
This time, though, Sean Dyche’s men face Southampton at Turf Moor following a 0-0 draw on the south coast in last year’s curtain-raiser.
“It’s great to be at home. I think the fans will be looking forward to it,” said the Burnley boss.
“I think they saw the strength of the squad in the second half of last season.
