The U23s host Nottingham Forest this afternoon (Monday) at the Tameside Stadium, where new boss Steve Stone will take charge of his first game as the U23s manager.
The Clarets are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions, most recently picking up an impressive point away at Liverpool in the Premier League Cup.
And Burnley have certainly not struggled to find the net, with 17 goals in their last five matches, the Lancashire side currently lead the way for goals scored in the division.
Stone’s side could rise to top of the league today with a win and if Bolton lose out to Sheffield United.
