The Under-23s return to action tonight (Wednesday) when they continue their pre-season build-up at Bamber Bridge.
Steve Stone’s side lost 3-1 at Stalybridge Celtic a week ago and the U23s’ boss will be looking for a response against Celtic’s BetVictor League Premier Division rivals at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium (KO 7.30pm).
“It is just another step along the way and we’re still working on things,” said Stone.
“But I’ll be looking for the lads to learn lessons from last week to meet the challenge we’ll face tonight, which is likely to be similar.
