Police have charged 10 men over the death of a football fan who was killed when a mass brawl broke out between Blackpool and Burnley supporters.

Tony Johnson, 55, suffered a fatal head injury after the fight erupted outside the Manchester Pub in Blackpool on March 4, following a match between the two sides.

Despite valiant efforts by doctors and medics to save him, Mr Johnson died later that night, Lancashire police confirmed.

Officers today charged Jake Balmforth, 34, with the manslaughter of Mr Johnson and nine other men men in relation to the disorder that led to the death.
